BOBBY DREADFULL Born in Toronto to a Jamaican father and a Canadian mother Bobby has been singing and dancing since the age of 4.He has appeared in several t.v commercials such as Levis, Coca-Cola, and Ricola and had principal roles in t.v and films such as Instant Star, Soulfood Degrassi-the next generation,and Honey to name a few. Producer/singer Bobby D is one of the most electrifying performers to hit the stage. His show is a throwback comparble to artists such as James Brown or Prince- high falsetto, unbridled energy, and crazy dance moves! Bobby Dreadfull has a new funk band and is set to tear down some parties! He performs with an 8 piece 12 member band an all original tribal super funk set that is guaranteed to move any audience. For many years Bobby D has been producing different genres of music for various artists. He was the key producer at the Lions Den studio working with artists such as K-OS, Andrew Whiteman (Broken Social Scene), Allastair, Legend, Godzillah and others. Eventually this led Bobby to experiment with tribal house and funk and also inspired him to sing. His first single was an independant release (distributed by Nuff-Ent. 2003) called Get Down a thumping four-on- the floor funky-house track, featuring a unique hi-energy videoFACT supported video, shot in Jamaica, and still in rotation on MUCHMUSIC. The single speaks of universal love, political injustice and our need to Get Down!. The next single also supported by a hot and sexy video Za Za ZE is a tribal funk jam that was featured at the Reel World Film Festival. Both videos were voted as videoFACTs favourite picks . Music and performance have proven to be the perfect outlet for Bobby’s incredible passion for dancing and universal unity.
