I tried calling Trish yesterday and left a message for her to call me back. I am taking off to run shows around Ontario. Give me a call on Tuesday and we will come up with a solution.

Honestly in my position I have nothing else to offer than some sort of show. How do you feel about playing a Calgary show without having to sell any tickets? Straight up free show.

i don't think the band wants a show, seeing as we've sold well over a hundred tickets for supernova shows and made you guys well over a thousand dollars in sales and we feel as if we haven't gotten anything out of it.

are there any alternatives to us playing another show?

thanks

I don't like saying this, but I think the studio wants nothing to do with us. It really upsets me two because I am the middle man who in the end takes all the heat from both sides. Can I give you guys a headline show and possible even some money back? Just so there is no bad blood.

we seem to like plan B, we'd be happy to go with you and go to the studio and get this recording time set up or anything.

thanks for taking the time to help us out, contact us with a day and time where we can do this.

Dudes I'm sorry. You have to believe me when I say that I do care about your band getting the recording hours. I am reponsible for the market and taking care of the bands I book. Unfortunately the one thing I don't have power over is prizing, which is stupid becuase situations like this arise and all of a sudden it is out of my hands. A situation that directly effects my reputation with the bands.

My management in the office is suggesting I remedy the situation by offering your band a headlining gig. Which basically means you would be recognized as the headliner on all the promo gear. You will be given an set time between a window of lets just say 8 and 9pm, but whatever window of time you prefer is up to you. You would get a 35-40 minute set. Also you would get 2 dollars back on every ticket you sell providing you sell over 30. I have seen your band achieve that goal before so I don't see it posing a problem.

There is also plan B. I am coming to Alberta from August 4th to the 12th to visit my family. I say we go to the studio together and book the time in person so there is no dodging us. I have a contract signed by the studio saying that they would provide the exact prizing that you Dawn at Dusk had won on April 27. It shouldn't have to come to this, but I am willing to do it. Smashbenz studios is making Supernova look bad, but more than anything making me look bad in the eyes of my bands. I would take pleasure in pulling a stunt like that.

What do you say?
