The Deacon Brothers beginnings can be traced back a few years ago when David and Andrew were jamming randomly and came up with a track called "Random Bullshit" that Andrew's friends seemed to enjoy. Well.. I suppose the literal roots of the actual Deacon brothers would have to be when I was born followed by when Andrew was born to the same mother hence the brothers part but I'm talking about the band here!
A while later at one of our cousins birthdays, Andrew couldn't make it but David was there. For some reason the should have been hit song "Tyler Cut the Cake" came to David and his cousins Lisa and Tinisha.. Most likely because Tyler was in fact cutting his birthday cake. This expanded to include the verses "Tyler ate the cake" and "Tyler shits the cake". Andrew enjoyed the song so we performed this song and a different untitled song at the DeaconStock festival (aka Andrew's backyard and a bunch of friends/family).
Andrew has since moved on to "Liquid Larry and the Afterburners" and David has moved on to being full time dad to the cutest baby ever!
