Detach vs Mantis is Nickolas Racoma and Aaron Ritchie, an electronic duo that composes mainly drum'n'bass mixed with trance, techno, and hardcore. Their unique style is influenced mainly by Japanese artists including the Hardcore artist Teranoid (Kosuke Saito), the Psychedelic Trance artist L.E.D. (Toshiyuki Kakuta) and the Trance / Techno artist TaQ (Taku Sakakibara). The duo formed in late 2006 and began production on their debut album Black/White, which has continued production into 2007. Besides working together, they also record music separately in very different styles.
