Evan Morgan Productions

Evan Morgan began his career at the University of Lethbridge under professors and renowned composers; Rolf Boon and Arlan Schultz,. While studying recording techniques at a university level for 2 years he had the opportunity to produce his first recordings. An avid musician, Evan plays a wide variety of musical instruments including guitar, drums and piano. His primary instrument is his voice and with his experience in Musical Theater, his lush vocal arrangements have been something to watch out for in his more elaborate productions. In 2005 he moved to Manchester England to further his studies at the School of Sound Recording. After 2 months into his course, he was offered a Engineer position with the commercial division of the school, Spirit Studios. Along with engineering the majority of the project coming into Spirit, Evan had unlimited access to the studio during the late-night slot to facilitate his own productions. Over the next year and a half he had the opportunity to work with some of Manchester’s greatest talents, including local alternative acts ‘Fallen From Orbit’, ‘From This Day On’, and ‘The Jesus Burgers’, renowned jazz duo ‘Inside Outside’, and R&B/Gospel heavy weights ‘Heavy Load’. Upon his return to Canada, Evan wasted no time in taking the Vancouver independent music scene by force. Crafting a strong friendship with the Tom Lavin, owner of legendary Blue Wave Studios, Evan began re-establishing his reputation as a producer with immaculate attention to detail and uncompromising work ethic. His first production in Vancouver was Incura’s “Here To Blame” single, which took Vancouver’s CFox Radio by storm and won the 2008 SEEDS Platinum award, the same award that helped launch the careers of International Recording Artists Nickleback, Default, Bif Naked and Mathew Good. Evan is currently working with some of Vancouver's most anticipated artist, including ‘Fighting For Ithaca’, ‘Bullets Over Beauty’, ‘Scarlet Reign’, ‘Ann Vriend’ and ‘Andrew Conroy’. After helping local super-stars ‘Incura’ rise to the top of Vancouver alternative rock scene, Evan went on to produce and engineer their first major label release, working with industry heavy weights Jeff Dawson, Mike Fraser and Brian Howes on the project. Evan’s musicality, his ability to hear and push the potential of his artists is truly making him a sought after producer in the Lower Mainland.
