On behalf of Stoned Moses we would like to thank everyone who has voted for us and has given us their support along the way. We have been around for a year and the amount of love and attention has been outstanding, uplifting and life changing for our spirits.

OK - we finally realized that maybe the odd promotion DOES help out (but we hate spam and don't want to spam our friends). Anyways, we wanted to reach out for a couple of reasons. First is to thank all the great new bands we now count as friends and have plans to tour or play with in the future. Second is to thank all our fans for making us a success in the Band on the Run India contest. If you haven't heard, 22nd Century did win the Vancouver event (despite some frikking awesome bands entered). The results are here at http://www.supernova.com/shows/9553 ; We're like totally humbled by all that our friends and supporters have done for us and never dreamed we'd get as far as to be doing shows in New York, San Fran, LA, getting 6 page magazine spreads, hitting #1 on the UK indy charts, getting on the radio, playing in front of 4000 people and now putting out our second CD. We owe it ALL to you. Thank you!

We know we've asked a lot in the past and hesitently want to ask you to vote for us once per day for the next 7 days to send us to play the Independence festival (this is one of the world's top ten big rock festivals). Why should anyone do that? We have asked a lot in the past but here are some good reasons:

1. (Nice reason) We helped raise over $25,000 for charities in 2010 alone to help other people in the world.
2. (Honest reason) We are an honest rock band. 3 piece (bass, drums, guitar, vocals) and are doing what we want. No effects, tricks, voodoo or slimy promoters.
3. (Karma) We will return the favor. It may not be to you directly but we believe in karma and someone, somewhere will get a random act of kindness.
4. (Kindness) If we can do anything to help you out, we will. Seriously - we do support other bands. Shots of Jack Daniels is the usual way but if you have an ask, send it in.
5. (self interest) We will buy anyone one drink at a bar if they come up to us and say "We voted to send you to India".

7. We will donate any earnings from this gig (over expenses) to a charity, probably to clean up the gulf oil slick. By voting for us, you could be helping.
