Hi this is Rick, manager for Emberlight. I have never seen anything like this before. Please, please, everyone stop all this negative talk. Lets not point fingers at anyone whether it be a band or individual. First off leave Matt and John of Rain Delay alone. They have done nothing wrong, yes they played with us and they were great and funny guys. True musicians. Hats off guys! This Supernova Break a Band isabout trying to gain experience with maybe a perk or two if the company likes what they hear. Use Supernova as a starting point for maybe a career in music whether it be playing, recording, or managing and promoting. It should be all positive, like meeting new people and playing gigs, which we all know can tough to get. Lets all lean on each other for help and friendship. Music should be an escape from all the crap that happens in this world, and there is alot of it. I wish all the bands can send message to the world through there music! Lets all stop and be mature about this and stop all the bad feelings in here. You never know, maybe Supernova will get fed up with this negative chatter and shut it all down because they may get some bad publicity and it can snowball from there. We all need Supernova to play gigs even though they may not pay, its exposure and experience. Enjoy it not hate it. So please guys and gals please stop all the bad feelings and talk in a friendly and positive way. Everyone was awesome Sunday, even though I couldn't hearone everyone play, I would love to hear and share my experiences with everyone. I'm proud of each and everyone of you for showing original creativity, let show Canada and the rest of the world where the breeding ground is for talent!!! Great job everyone. Ciao

Hmm, lots of strong words on this comment wall.
Alright for one thing, what's all this crap about having a track record? You can't judge a band on whether they have a track record or not. What if Emberlight had never played a show or recorded a song in their entire time being together, but they were still just as good as they are now? Does that mean because they lack a record, they're a crappier band? No, it means nothing of the sort. Just because you've never heard of a band doesn't mean they're not good.
Take into consideration what you guys are comparing here; a punk/metal band and an alternative/jam band? You can't take two bands from two different genres and say one is better than the other, it's all a matter of opinion and taste. You can't slap a First Place label on a band and then automatically say that they're better than the bands they competed against after seeing ONE show. Give each other a chance, music is about expression not superiority.
And to whom it may concern (I won't say any names), you don't say "Yo, Rain Delay and Big Bad Brun were sick!" and then in the SAME FRIGGEN SENTENCE say "....But Emberlight totally pwned everyone end of story!" That is STRAIGHT UP disrespect and ignorance. Just because you said something nice about the other bands doesn't give you the right to say they did worse than another band right after.
And oh my sweet baby Jesus. h-factor, you should NOT be giving people advice on how to read or understand a comment. "You're the moron for not having a good command on english comprehension"? Wtf, that's not even grammatically correct. Also, you claim to give music advice to those who need it, but you've never heard of The Stereos? They're one of the most popular pop bands around, look them up.
I watched both bands play and each one had something different to offer, both really tight and both had great musicianship. Emberlight came out on top this time, but it's only one show. 10 years from now if either band is actually any good, this show won't mean anything. They'll be great bands either way and this little Supernova competition is just another bug on the windshield.
Congrad's to Never Say Die On taking the Wildcard.......
