Thanks to everyone for the enthusiasm and ongoing support - we are working *literally* every day to pry open new opportunities for our bands, whether they're the grand winners or just a sick new kinda sound.
You can bet that getting so far in the BYB series will keep these bands VERY top of mind, especially when looking to match artists with gigs, promotions, and other opportunities to get exposed.
Fans - you may not know this, but everytime you interact with a band on Supernova (whether you listen to a song, message a band, comment on or rate their tunes, etc) you help determine which bands make our Music Charts. This is an excellent way to make sure your favourite music gets noticed!
Again, a big thank you to everyone involved and especially all of our City finalists. Expecting to hear lots more from these bands in the near future :)

Wow I guess it's over! We have been so busy playing shows and most recently in the studio all last week even to check on progress, But congrats to the winner. I guess it seems there is a lot of negative stuff being said about the process and all that, but let me assure everyone, that being close to Supernova head office in Toronto we have had the opportunity to go there meet quite a few of the people that work at the head office and there are people there that have day jobs and do this for the passion and love of music!! So lighten up!! If we didn't have Supernova shows to start off with would you be playing any shows at all? Regardless of who would of won there are no guarantees in this industry so winning these prizes don't give you a free pass to the top. Some really good bands came out of Supernova like Three Days Grace, Billy Talent, Sum 41,ill Scarlett and more. It's sill going to take a lot of effort and hard work! My hat's off to Supernova (Nicole, Jesse, Jordan, Dustin, Corina) and all the others for a great time!!!

There should be a permanent place on the site to track these bands after the contest is over. Lots of times in these contests it is not the winner who becomes the big star but one of the ones the judges missed.
Five years from now that band will be saying ... "Yeah man, we were on Supernova and lost! Can you believe that?"
Do the Judges actually attend all of the venues?
If not, how can they make a decision on bands they have never seen?
