The story of Fairweather Father began when singer/songwriter Danny Keehn left his small home town of Smithers BC in search of something more. After winning the Best in the West competion, Danny knew in order to share his music with the world he would have to move south to Vancouver Island and start a band. On January 1, 2010 he packed a bag and his guitar and set out on the next bus for Nanaimo. There, he met Anthony Sharkey; a les paul slingin, old school rocker who added thick, powerful riffs over Danny's acoustic material. Creating a heavy, listenable rock sound with dark lyrics that always tell a story in which everyone can relate to is the back-bone of the band. Finding bass player Clayton J Brown aka "The Riff" later in the year brought a strong dimension to their evolving sound with his unconventional, but brilliant, musical ideas and bass thrashing style, much like the late, great, Clifford Lee Burton. Jordan Findlay joined the group in early 2011, to rip the double kick and beat the drums to a bloody pulp in perfect time, not to mention keep up band appearances, and look good. A prankster of sorts, some would say he's the "The Human Metronome"... others just call him "a f***ing drummer."
...Thus marked the completion of Fairweather Father.
