Please introduce us to 2win Dunx:
Warren (Wub D) - (Vocals) Hip-hop, R&B and Pop.
Spencer (S Munney) -(Vocals) Hip-hop, R&B and Pop.
Our band consists of twins Warren and Spencer Duncan.
How did you get your stage name?
We got our band name from our last name. Everyone in high school just called us Dunx. They mainly called us this because they couldn’t tell us apart. What brought us together is free styling and having the same taste for music.
How long have you been playing together with the current lineup?
We’ve been together for 11 years.
If I was to put you on the spot and ask you to define your genre, what would you call it?
Our genre is hip-pop because we mix the best of the three genres into one
Do you have any major artistic influences?
Our major artist influences are Drake, Jay-Z, T.I., Kayne West, Trey Songz and Chris Brown.
What is the most rewarding thing about being in a band?
The most rewarding thing about being in a band is that we’re twins so its very easy for us to put our ideas together with no problems.
What is the hardest part about being in a band?
We wouldn’t really say we have a ‘hardest’ part being in a band. Maybe when we’re having little arguments and one decides not to talk to the other for a bit.
How did you come across Supernova.com and what would you tell other artists about Supernova?
We came across Supernova while browsing for music sites one day. I would tell other bands that Supernova is a great place to network and hear good new music.
Do you have a motto or tradition for putting on a good show?
Our motto for a good show would be getting our energy up to its peak so we are very hyper and loud!
Our ritual is to say “Bless” to each other before starting and touching our mics.
What is your most memorable moment thus far as a band?
Our most memorable moment is the Canada’s Got Talent auditions. With the amount of excitement and going through a couple of the rounds, it definitely opened our eyes to a whole new experience.
What is the funniest story/strangest experience that you have had as a band?
Our funniest experience was our show at Nines Bar & Grill in Burlington. One of us had forgotten the lyrics to a verse and the other had to fill in. No one noticed it was a completely different person singing.
If you had your way, where would you be in 2 years?
If we had our way, in 2 years we’d like to be a sensation like the Biebs and hopefully touring the world!
We’d like to be signed to one of the following labels; Roc Nation, Young Money, Grand Hustle, Bad Boy, So Icy Ent, Maybach Music Group or Warner Brothers.
Our goals are to be successful entertainers and continuing doing what we love best; making music for our fans.
In closing, is there anything else that makes your band unique that new listeners should know?
We both graduated from Sheridan College’s Performing Arts Program. We know acting, dance, tech design and music. I think this is what makes us unique.
