With another Holiday season gone and New Year's hangovers left behind, I’m realizing I totally missed out on the xmas haul this year! Some of my friends got some AMAZING music-related gifts this season,

and I thought you might want to share my envy.
First up, we have the hilarious
AC/DC Angus Young and Brian Johnson action figures. As described by the manufacturer: “
The Brian Johnson action figure features the AC/DC lead singer ready to rock in a classic pose with a detachable microphone in his hand. The AC/DC Angus Young action figure is posed in full rock and roll glory with his trademark guitar.” These are still available at the
Rock and Roll Emporium if you have an
AC/DC lover in your life who happens to like playing with dolls (hehe).
For something with a (very very very loose) festive tie in, my friend picked up this charming “Trembling Fetus Ornament”. As a huge
Flaming Lips fan, I guess I can’t blame her for ordering this off
the band's site, but really only an
extreme fan would appreciate this bizarre gift.
Now
SlickRick’s diamond eye patch would have been this girl’s best friend – yeah I would have actually rocked it, on the advice of David Bowie in a dream. But since
Coolthings.com reported that it sold for over $20,000 at auction, I guess this was a little out of my price range.
Of course, it just wouldn’t be the holidays without a TEN FOOT FENDER GUITAR from Alice Cooper (we’re not worthy!!!). Seriously… this is real (see
this video for details) AND
it’s up on ebay for “only” $10,000. Since the seller is also accepting offers for this ‘Monster’ Axe, maybe I can get a deal?

Finally, in the “practical and awesome” category, we have the hammer/beer opener. Yeah it’s not musical but I’m pretty sure the
Beatles have a song about Maxwell getting this for xmas. I personally can’t think of a better way to promote drinking chaos than to put a bottle opener on the back of a hand-held weapon… can you? If you know someone who deserves to get drunk and yield a weapon at the same time (cause I know I do)
the hammer opener might be the perfect gift.
Although I didn’t get any of these for xmas, I had a good holiday haul - plus I’ve gotten a few ideas for next year (especially if I happen to win the lottery).
Did you get any weird, cool, lame or awesome ‘music’ gifts this year? Leave a comment!
Who knows, maybe I’ll get some ideas for my Valentine’s Day music junkies.
