Legs is a rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Legs will be playing a show on Canada Day! They will be playing July 1st at 3:30pm on Osbourne Street in front of the Zoo in Winnipeg.
Please introduce us to Legs:
Adrian Dyer – Bass
Nicholas Kula – Drums
Brady Mitchell - Guitar
How did you get your band name and what brought you guys together as a band?
On morning Brady woke up not wearing any pants and his legs were really white. They kind of stood out so we thought “Hey! LEGS might be a name that stands out too”.
We were brought together by pure dumb luck. We’re held together by passion for creating music.
How long have you been playing together with the current lineup?
The three of us have been jamming together for 3 years. We’re currently on the search for a committed singer/frontman. We’re looking for someone dedicated and between the ages of 18-25.
If I was to put you on the spot and ask you to define your genre, what would you call it?
It fluctuates from song to song but it has a rock/funkadelic sound always at its core.
Do you have any major artistic influences?
There are so many but to name a few I’d say The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ruch, Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys, The White Stripes, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Rae Vaughn, Kiss, Yes and Wolfmother.
What is the most rewarding thing about being in a band?
Being able to create music with each other and connecting on another level while playing is the ultimate reward. If we can make a connection with the audience then we’ve done our job.
What is the hardest part about being in a band?
Finding the right members. A band is like a relationship. You have to have good communication between all parties and be able to speak freely. You have to trust everyone and respect what they do. Most importantly, you have to have chemistry. When all of these things are present, you have found a “keeper”.
How did you come across Supernova.com and what would you tell other artists about Supernova?
I found out about Supernova through Power97’s website. I would tell other bands that if they want a chance to get some good stage experience then they should definitely check out one of these shows.
Do you have a motto or recipe for putting on a good show?
Well, we all like to go to the Olive Garden and get the endless soup and salad for one person but then we all eat the soup and salad. Just joking. In all seriousness practicing material until you can play effortlessly is crucial to putting on a good show along with having good stage presence.
What is your most memorable moment thus far as a band?
Auditioning for the judges of Canada’s Got Talent was pretty cool. As a band we’re fairly new to the scene so we will have more memorable moments to come.

If you had your way, where would you be in 2 years?
Touring Canada, have an EP recorded and playing as many showcases and festivals as possible would be ideal. We are really looking for a 4th member who is able to put their whole head and time into this. Once we find the final piece of the puzzle we will get the band rolling fairly quickly.
In closing, is there anything else that makes your band unique that new listeners should know?
Our sound is definitely different, not similar to anything that is kicking around the Winnipeg scene right now..
