With popular TV series such as Heroes and the remakes and sequels to movies like Superman, TMNT, and Transformers, we wondered who would win out in the Battle to end all Battles – A Super Ninja or Superman? We took five managers from the company and had them race against each other; dressed as characters with a super strength or power. Watch the video to see who won!
Sanford Liu
Alter-ego: Batman
Day Job: Director of Interactive
A drummer in high school, Sanford soon turned to web development and his team worked long hours to create the new website. He is also the one to blame when the internet goes down, when new features aren’t released on time, and most importantly, for the general lack of world peace.
Phil Taube
Alter-ego: Super Sombrero Man
Day Job: Concerts, General Manager
Phil manages the Production staff and is one of the main reasons that Supernova is able to produce so many shows on a yearly basis. In his guitarist days – he used to have hair down to his waist and could rock out like it was nobody’s business.
Sandy Hurst
Alter-ego: Super Boy Scout
Day Job: Chief Operating Officer
One of the founders, Sandy makes sure that all the day-to-day grunt work stuff gets done from running first band meetings down in New York, to putting Supernova’s name out there at industry trade shows. If we had Boy Scout badges, we’d definitely give him one to sew onto his uniform.
Matt Finkelstein
Alter-ego: Superman
Day Job: 769MPH Inc., General Manager
With ten years of artist management experience, Matt has worked with The Trews, Big Sugar and Crash Test Dummies. He now heads up 769MPH and has signed R.O.A and The Scenario, and he also happens to know where the best roti place in Toronto is.
Elliott Hurst (due to prior commitments, Cory Rosenfield subbed in for him)
Alter-ego: Super Ninja
