A Storybook Murder with A Cadence for Hersey

Hello,

Ali is here to edumacate everyone on this weeks Feed!  I will be reviewing two bands the first will be The Top Band on Supernova’s Chart A Cadence for Heresy as well as A Storybook Murder.

A Cadence for Heresy
  1. Originality 2/5
The band is very new, and both tracks were recorded within the bands first month together.  They themselves said that it’s pretty generic and are on the verge of merging other personal favourite genres (ie. Southern Rock).  If you guys can put a SRV to what you already have… then you’ll have magic!

  2. Song Writing 3/5
It’s the same ole’, template over.  The fundamentals are there, it’s time to break out of the shell.

  3. Image (how band presents / markets itself) 4/5
Fairly well, pictures of the band are uploaded along with two well recorded tracks.  The band shouts out an alternate website (myspace), as well as a contact e-mail address.  Anyone who’s also disgusted by 2 girls 1 cup… presents themselves well to me!

  4. Band’s Total: 9/15
Next Steps
The band should totally venture up their own personal routes and blend all of their influences together to make magic.  Look at Pantera in the 1980’s when they were a glam metal band b/c of the amount of love Abbott’s had for KISS and the way that the industry was at the time.  Look what happened in the 1990s, when glam metal fizzled away… and Dime inherited Angus Young’s balls and Big VP developed John Bonhams arms.  To have caterpillar will be a butterfly if they believe.

A Storybook Murder
  1. Originality 4/5
The band has dueling singers with multiple guitarists with a bassist and a backbeat.   All band members always bring it for a live performance.

  2. Song Writing 3/5
Although I haven’t had a chance to analyze lyrical content, each song is performed with a terrific amount of energy.

  3. Image (how band presents / markets itself) 5/5
The band has two guitarists that frequently play guitar behind their heads.  Whenever I attend a Supernova card that they are featured on, not only do they put on one of the most explosive sets, but they also have the most fun with the audience.  With band members jumping off 10ft stages, and fans frequently “play” attacking the band before their scheduled set time, makes A Storybook Murder a band with a great image to their fans and the general public.

  4. Band’s Total: 12/15
Next Steps
A couple of months ago A Storybook Murder had a fallout within Supernova due to an internal error that has left their Supernova profile bare.  In my stay with Supernova A Storybook Murder was one of the few bands that always had their on-stage chemistry at a 10, and always provided Supernova with a sell-out attendance on their end.  I hope nothing but the best for these guys.  My advice is to upload better quality tracks via the internet.  Sometimes having no recording is better then having a poor sound quality recording.

These two bands that have names that are sentences are prrrrrreeeetttttty good.
