Chasing Curiosity is an advanced four-piece alternative, rock band, derived from Ottawa, Ontario. They originally formed together in October of 2005, and have continued to produce appealing songs and perfecting their talents and stage presence over the past two years. The founding members, Ian (vocalist), and Raelyn (rhythm guitar) first stated their mission to create mind-blowing music. This could only be accomplished with the additions of their bassist, Jamie and drummer, Patrick. Currently, they’ve collaborated their thoughts in order to develop their own unique sound. They have a relatively mature sound from Ian’s clear and concise vocals, which make their tracks “Argentine” and “Disillusioned” an easy listen.
Their thorough band history gave me a lot of insight into their personalities. From my first impression, they appeared very honest, down to earth individuals, by paying a special thanks to all of the people who have helped them along their music career. Although it was a good idea to include pictures of the band performing live, it would provide a better impression by incorporating a photo of the each band members.
Evidently, Chasing Curiosity has attained countless accomplishments, and a great deal of experience. After performing approximately fourty shows, and winning four first place awards, it is no surprise that they have such a large following. They have also received great commentary from people in the music business. “They are awesome.’ ‘There is no doubt that they could, should be signed in 1-2 years, if not sooner.” (Jeraud Humphreys, Club Owner.) I’m sure he’s not the only one prepared to see great things in the future from Chasing Curiosity.
