The Major Macs


Get ready y'all because The Macs got a brand new attack! That’s right The Major Macs are a new hip-hop/Rap influenced band. The band is from all around the GTA some from Toronto, Richmond Hill, and Thornhill. They try and mix the flow of hip-hop/rap and the intensity of rock into all there songs. Although this band has only been together since March of 2008 they have worked very hard to create the band that is now called The Major Macs. After struggling to find the right guys for the crew they finally settled down with the 5 piece band they have now.

It all started when Justin (bass), Sprott (drums), and Dicker (vocals) went to see there favourite local band (Down With Webster) at Toronto’s Reverb. After seeing the best show of there lives they said “we gotta start a rap band”. Although there style is different from Down With Websters the band gets there energetic stage presents and motivation from them.  All the 3 band members needed was a singer and a guitarist. That’s when Steven Sprott (drums) contacted long time friend Anthony Boccia and asked him if he would give vocals a shot. Shortly after they found Tyler (guitar) who was friends with Anthony at the time, needless to say he agreed to join the band. They got together and formed what is now called The Major Macs. After playing there first show At The Reverb on June 6th 2008 and winning the Battle Of The Bands Wildcard vote hosted by Supernova the band is very egger to play bigger shows, write new songs and hopefully record a demo album within the next little while.
