Jacob's Ladder

Introduce your members and how each person fits into the band!
The members of our band, Jacobs Ladder, include Del Coburn on bass, Jonny Diano on drums and percussion, Jordy Ribecco on guitar and vocals, and Tory Rosso on guitar and vocals. Del is a talented bassist who helps keep the band sounding tight, and helps shape our sound with deep driving bass lines. He adds texture and flow to the band. Jonny is an amazing drummer and keeps our band together, with incredible consistency. He has transcendent drum patterns that make each song sound unique. Jordy plays guitar and has written some of the bands material, he plays blistering solo’s consisting of fast blues licks, and is a key ingredient in adding complexity to the songs. Tory is the front man of the band, he sings most songs and shares the lead guitar role with Jordy. Tory has written the majority of the bands songs, he has a strong voice, and has searing leads that will blow you away. All of our sounds come together to form Jacobs Ladder!

Can you give me a general history of the band? A general rundown?
Jacobs Ladder formed back in late February of 2008, consisting of Jordan Ribecco, Tory Rosso, and Keiver Tremblay (Former Drummer). The band started out playing rock covers of bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, and Thin Lizzy. We then began writing our own material and later acquired a bassist (Del Coburn) and new drummer (Jonny Diano) to complete the band. We spend almost 5 hours 2 times a week working on our set, which has about 12 songs. We’ve been focusing on writing our own material, we have 4 originals done and 4 more that are almost done. The guitar riffs in our originals are mainly classic rock and blues influenced and is fused together with a lot of different genres to create our own sound. We hope to play many shows in the future and hopefully get signed.

What's been the most rewarding experience about being in the band?
Playing shows and writing our own material has been a fun and enjoyable experience. We also enjoyed making a little bit of cash on the side.

Was there a moment, a show, a piece of good news, or anything, when you realized that the band was something that you wanted to pursue full time?
After we played our 3rd gig ever at the Underground, which was one of our best performances, we realized that we’d like to keep playing together for a long time. Another special moment was when we finished one of our favorite originals, Midnight Truckin’.

What do you want people to perceive your band as?
We want people to think of us as a band that sounds tight and puts on a good show. We also want people to enjoy our music.

Favorite place to play?
Out of the couple shows we’ve played our favorite venue is the Underground, but we hope for a much larger venue in the future.

Who would you love to tour with?
Led Zeppelin would be one of the many bands we’d like to play with.

What are some bands you guys are currently listening to? Any new bands you can introduce us to?
Some bands we are currently listening to are Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, The Eagles, Rush, Rory Gallagher, Illscarlett, Gary Moore, and a lot of the other bands that influence our music. Some new bands we’d like to introduce are Coheed and Cambria, Illscarlett (previously mentioned), Thieves and Liars and Airbourne.

If you had to choose one album that you had to listen to on repeat for the rest of your life, which album would you pick?
Led Zeppelin 4!
