Precursor formed in August 2008, and through practicing on classic covers they've evolved to find their own unique crowd-rockin' style. With a Battle of the Bands win under their belt,
Precursor's ready to take their sound to the next level at this year's
Summer Warfare series.
Though this 4-man outfit is always ready to throw down and party, they credit their progress to intense band practice workouts and an obsession with being on time & tight. In their own words, "

How does each member of Precursor fit into
the band?
Well... we have
Antonio DeCoppi singing lead. His outgoing stage persona and strong voice help make our band what it is.
We have
Anthony Mancuso playing guitar. He contributes to most of the song writing and runs it by the rest of us. His guitar playing really helps define our sound.
Next we have
Austin Ferenczi on bass guitar. He helps keep the song moving and on time.
Last but not least, we have
David Mancuso on drums. He keeps the band on time and helps keep the rhythm interesting.
What's your band’s history?
Anthony and Antonio were looking to create a band that would go somewhere through local shows/fan-base, etc... Austin had just started playing bass and David just started playing drums so they fit into the band perfectly. We all kind of grew together as musicians and band members.
How would you describe your band’s sound?
Our sound is very much classic rock. We range from soft slow songs to hard driving rock songs.
Was there any particular moment or event that made you realize you wanted to pursue music full time?
When you’re mid-song on stage, and you’re feeling what everyone else in your band and in the crowd is feeling. That complete human harmony.
How do you want people to perceive your band?
We want people to perceive
Precursor as a new start to an old style. We’ve kind of taken the old style of rock and pop and punk and started it all over again, fresh and new. We want people to know we mean business and to know that we’re here to entertain.
Where's your favourite place to play?
Our favourite place is basically anywhere that has electricity and a stage, and we’re there!
Who would you most like to tour with?
In terms of local bands, we would love to tour with
New Design. In terms of famous bands,
AC/DC or
Pearl Jam.
What bands are you currently listening to?
We are currently listening to just about anything we can get our hands on that sounds decent. We think
New Design,
Edge of Reality, and
Survived the Zombies are bands everyone should watch out for; they are awesome.
What brought you to Supernova.com?
Our friends brought us to Supernova. We
knew they were doing shows with them, so once we started our band we contacted Supernova. We would tell other artists that Supernova.com is a great company that gets your band out there and heard.
If you had to listen to one album on repeat for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Ours when it comes out! Ha ha, kidding... Probably
The Beatles' White album.

We are
Precursor. We sound like
Precursor. We’re not another one of those conforming bands that pop up around every corner. We’re here to blow your minds, one song or another.
