For 30 years, the Fox
Vancouver Seeds Indie Talent Competition has been sewing the beginnings of great musical talent. Past competitors like
Bif Naked,
Nickleback,
Matthew Good,
State of Shock and more, have grown to become serious contenders on both the Canadian and International Music scenes.
This year,
The Fox partnered with
Supernova.com to give competing bands an interactive,
online music community to help pitch their music and win over judges and fans; as a result, over 300 bands and thousands of fans came together to create one of the strongest Vancouver Seeds competitions to date! Out of all the entries, judge and fan votes eventually selected
10 new bands to dominate Canada’s #1 Indie Music Talent Competition - check out our
Top 10 Finalists Radio Channel and listen for yourself!
Now, after several rounds of band-to-band combat, Supernova.com is proud to present the three winners of
Vancouver Seeds 2009:
Black Betty | Goodbye Beatdown | Venice Queen

With a phenomenal effort from every band in this year's competition, I know that it was very difficult for the judges to select these three winners - congratulations to you all, as you claim your Seeds Legacy and move on to musical greatness!
It's not everyday that the top indie talent gets together for a competition of this size, and although Supernova.com hosts many Battle of the Bands competitions across the US & Canada,
Vancouver Seeds 2009 is the height of Canadian indie stardom; read more about the success of this year's Vancouver Seeds Indie Talent Search
