FACE the Band always sets out to rock their audience into a good time. Frank and focused on the music,
FACE the Band is a 5-man power punch of punk rock talent from Welland, Ontario. Though they have trouble defining their genre, they definitely know their purpose – to make sure people have as much fun partying to their music as the band is having on stage.
This awesome attitude brought
FACE the Band a Wildcard win for the
June 12th Summer Warfare show, and they tore up the
Playdium Playmusic Festival stage this past weekend (where you can
VOTE for the winners now!)
In the meantime, we got to know the band a little better...
Congratulations on the Wildcard Win, can you introduce yourselves for those who don't know FACE the band?

What is your band’s history; how did you come together and what got you where you stand as a band today?
People played instruments. Then one day people played them together... FACE the band.
We have done our best to take every opportunity we get to perform and have made some great friendships with some great people. We are where we are cause we love what we’re doing.
Can you describe your band’s sound?
We hate this question because it is so hard for us to answer.
We have yet to find something we can compare ourselves to, and therefore we have no idea how to describe ourselves. We have used many different Genre combinations in the past while trying to explain our sound to people; Punk Rock Alternative, Punk Metal, Garage Rock,
the list goes on.
What's been the most rewarding thing about being in a band?
There is no feeling in the world better than having your audience sing your own songs back to you. Just straight up seeing people get into our music is rad.
What made you want to pursue music full time?
When we started making our own music, we came to the realization that this wasn’t just us screwing around anymore.
How do you want people to perceive your band?
We want people to have as much fun partying with us as we have on stage performing...

Where is your band's favourite place to play?
It doesn’t get better than house parties with close friends.
Who would you most like to tour with?
Thieves.
Got any undiscovered artists that you think are going to be big?
There is a band called
Hunters & Anglers from Welland and they make some of the best music in the area. We would be very surprised if they did not make it big.
What brought you to Supernova.com?
Forces beyond our control... Supernova is like a myspace for bands without all the bullshit.

Is there anything else that about your band that new listeners should know?
There is literally no other band in existence that sounds similar to us; at least as far as we can tell. When people ask us to compare ourselves to something it is the hardest question we could be asked to answer.
