A Bed Of Roses And A Stage On Fire!
To be honest, I wasn’t sure we’d get in. At approximately 4:00pm Thursday afternoon, I drove up to the Molson Amphitheatre with a load of gear, hoping to get Iron Flail and Shaker on the Indie Stage at the Bon Jovi (French for good jovi) show. After getting shit on three times (only once by a seagull), we were underway. Iron Flail started their set at 6:15pm which is exactly when the doors opened and the flood of people began. Iron Flail rocked through a set of originals that probably a good 2000 people heard at one time or another and they gathered an audience of fans, security guards, and cops. All of them nodding their heads: “Yes,...

Ozzy Rocks Toronto
The Air Canada Centre was full of energy as Voivod hit the stage, showcasing music from their 19 year career. Leaders of the Canadian underground metal scene, they have recently acquired some notoriety since recently being joined by ex-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted. After Voivod’s 30 minute set, the crowd was mesmerized by one of Canada’s heavier hitters, Finger Eleven. The band stormed the stage with an abundance of energy, ripping through classic songs, as well as introducing a few new numbers off their upcoming self-titled release. The crowd was revved up and more than ready for Ozzy Osbourne and company! Just when the intensity...

METAL TAKEOVER
June 14 2003, METAL-TAKEOVER. Now for any music lover this is a show that you want to attend. It will be a night of classic metal @ The Rockit. Now, for all of you that think that 80’s metal is something in the past, you are wrong. Toronto Specialty Shows
Well, we’ve decided to take your advice. Booking, coordinating, and running endless amounts of shows lead us to one conclusion: bands want to play shows with like-minded and like-sounding bands. So, we’re going to do it. Pick a genre, we plan on devoting a show to it (save for the Iranian acid blues jazz hardcore genre). Starting everything off on July 2 we have our annual Punkfest. Upon showing up to the Rockit on July 2nd, punk fans will be treated to copious amounts of non-stop moshing, Mohawk haircuts, leather jackets, body-surfing, and much more. Bands that are interested in playing this show please write to maja@supernova.ca for more...

Opera House Review
Now where do I start with this show? Every band put on an amazing set, had a lot of energy on stage and from what I saw everyone had a great time. I have to say that this was one of the only shows that has had all different types of music genres that everyone seemed to enjoy. We started the night of with 2 punk bands. Voiceless was the first band to perform and their set was filled with lots of energy and great music. Boarderline also put on a great show, they had the moshpit going and the girls screaming for more. Codine was perhaps one of the few numetal bands of the night. This is the second time I have seen these guys play and they...

Damn-Nation @ Edge 102
On Friday 18 2003, Damn Nation played a show at Edge 102. For all of you who have seen these guys play before I think you would have to agree that they never fall short of greatness when you see them live. Everybody that was at the show got a little treat, not only did the guys play some great songs like "Resident Evil", "Moshpit Monster" and of course "The Damn Nation" but the guys played some new songs that they just recorded a few weeks ago. One of the songs that sticks out in my mind was "New York". This is the slowest songs that I have ever seen the band play and it was a nice change that just shows that Damn-Nation is more then just...
