Follow the Floodlights

Follow the Floodlights is a folk rock duo originating from the summer woods of northern Ontario where their stunning vocals and brilliant guitar licks were forged into a unique, unforgettable sound. Still in their teens, each member brings creative energy, passion and diverse musical taste to the table when they write. Their collective musical influences include: Elliot Smith, Silverstein, Jack’s Mannequin, Greenday, Deathcab for Cutie, and the Beatles. Brynn Leger provides lead vocals and has been singing and performing most of her life. She was a featured performer at the 2008 Barrie Folk Roots Music Festival and was a finalist in the 2008 Barrie Folk Society’s Youth Song Competition. She has played many venues in and around both Barrie and Oakville Ontario over the past few years, including the Casa del Coffee and A Night on the Red Carpet at the Gryphon Theatre in Barrie. Her cd of original songs “Jumping Fences” co written and performed with Kaitlyn Sutton was produced in August 2008. Max Mancuso hasn’t set down his guitar since the age of eight. Until recently he played lead for “Harvard is My Safety” a Toronto based punk rock band that has played venues such as the El Mocambo, the Opera House, the Big Bop, and have even won first prize at a Supernova “Band on the Run” event, making it to city finals. As a solo performer as well as with Brynn, Max has played various venues in the Oakville area. Max shares his talents each summer as an instructor at an Oakville based rock camp. Together performing as “Maxx and Brynn”, the duo took first prize in the 2008 South River Festival of the Arts music competition. Follow the Floodlights have now emerged from the woods bringing their writing and performing brilliance to the ears and eyes of urban audiences with tremendous feedback.
