Originally formed in the winter of ‘06, Fortunate Downfall arrived on the scene inspired by a musical taste of acoustic pop/rock. Performing at a variety of shows over the past year, Fortunate Downfall also known as FD, enjoys playing live concerts with their explosive pop/rock sound.
The band’s first EP, Waiting For Daylight, is set to be released for the summer of 2008. The 4 song EP showcases FD’s alternative rock persona, with energetic guitar and catchy melody lines, while also offering a slower, relaxing side to their music.
With John Fortune leading vocals, Tim Watkins on bass, Dave Dombrowski on guitar and Jono Saldanha on drums, the dynamic youthful foursome’s driving ambition is to only bring you their best…for your entertainment.

Just a quick update... As you may have heard, our undecidedfuture as a band isn’t looking so bright. Some of us have had a changein priorities, and are pursuing into other careers outside of music. Withsome of us breaking out to pursue different careers, Tim and I havedecided to experiment with a collaboration of genres such asalternative, pop, trance and metal.
