fridaysKarma is a Barrie-based band that delivers a sound that is a cross between folk and rock – sometimes folk sometimes rock sometimes somewhere in between. It can be best described as acoustic rock. Formed in November 2006, the band is fronted by seasoned singer/songwriter, Christine Bergsma. A box full of songs written over a 15 year span were reinvented through various players contributing to a sound that fits each song hence the diversity of the music. Currently, fridaysKarma is comprised of Christine Bergsma, acoustic guitar and vocals, Sam Moore, rhythm and lead guitar, Roger Bergsma, bass guitar, Lou Brun, keyboards, and Al Ross, drums. fridaysKarma has also recently performed great Toronto venues including Lee’s Palace; Jeff Healy’s Roadhouse and The Opera House. In addition to this fridaysKarma is a yearly guest at the Periwinkle Music Festival in Midland, Ontario. Several of fridaysKarma’s songs are receiving continuous radio play via the music café – Martha’s Vineyard & the World online radio station.
