Gold & Shadow (G&S) is the music of Dane Letourneau, Jesse Janzen, Brandon Clarke and Raymond Gourlay. For the last four years, they have been creating a captivating live experience with both electric and acoustic shows across Vancouver Island. G&S takes the form of a 4-piece indie/art rock entourage, with equal doses of energy and melody. Hailing from Nanaimo, BC, the project offers a tuneful response to the natural wonders of the Island area and a passionate focus on dynamics and texture. Influences include an amalgamation of styles ranging from the alternative leanings of Bon Iver, Radiohead, and Jeff Buckley to the long-form compositions of more experimental groups such as Isis and Explosions in the Sky.
