In the Out Door

Influenced by genres ranging from alternative rock to funk, the sound of In The Out Door would be considered eclectic by many, with its drop tunings and slapping and popping bass. In The Out Door was conceived by Kyle Lipischak and Justin Mills back in mid 2007, while playing in impromptu jam sessions. Eventually Lewis Sieffert was brought into the mix with drums. They jammed for months and then when they felt that the music was “gelled,” David Henry stepped in on vocal duties. Finally, the lineup of the band was set. With a few small shows here and there, the band started to build confidence. Eventually it became time to step into the studio where they would polish their already existing originals. When Faux Real was released, In The Out Door sold 200 copies within the first two days. It has since been well received in the Winnipeg Music Scene. In The Out Door has since played various gigs, including shows at Dylan O Connors, and the UMFM / Wake Up Winnipeg Haiti Benefit Concert. The band has also been interviewed on CJUM 101.5 FM's "Wake Up Winnipeg", Curve 94.3 FM in Winnipeg, and Shaw TV Channel 9. With their second album nearing completion, In The Out Door are now in the midst of planning a summer tour.
