After Daniel and Svet's (guitar and drums) last band broke up due to the 2nd guitarist and singer leaving, they were stuck with a bunch of songs and no singer. Determined to keep playing, they kept searching for someone to fill the singer's spot and one day after meeting some random girl in Montreal's metros, Daniel was introduced (by that girl) to her friend Mina. Daniel and Mina hit it off and he asked her to come try out as the singer for the band. After numerous attempts to meet were foiled due to sickness or bad timing, they finally got together (Daniel, Mina and Svet) and everything fit into place as Mina's voice and style met their expectations perfectly. A couple of practices later, Nikita (the old band's bassist) was called in to fill the bass player's position. They played many shows under the name "Natural Order" but eventually internal turmoil between Svet and Nikita forced Nikita to leave the band and left Natural Order dysfunctional without a bassist once again.
After playing for a while with no bassist, Daniel met a cool sounding funky bass played at some local jams in Dawson College and realized that this bassist (Eli) could replace Nik. A couple days later, they invited Eli to a practice and once again a perfect balance was found and Eli joined the band. Natural Order changed their name to KillRoom (inspired by Mina), got together and had 7 songs New, Alone, Lost, Dead World, Dig, Broken Pieces and Streets Embrace. After playing numerous shows, the band's fan base grew larger and larger and the band's shows saw more and more people mosh pitting and a lot more crowd energy which made KillRoom's live performance a force to be reckoned with. After making it to 2nd place in the semi-finals of the global battle of the bands Emergenza, they met with a producer named Kevin Jardine who used to play guitar for the famous Band Slaves on Dope from Montreal and decided to record 6 of their songs in his studio.
After sitting down with Kevin and going over the 6 songs, some changes were made to the material and the drum tracks were recorded in a downtown Montreal studio "Red Rhino Records". The rest of the recording was made in Kevin's recording studio "Uplift Productions". Now with a cd almost ready, the band is looking to take on the airwaves and play even more shows to get to the level they have been seeking for so long. So be on the lookout for KillRoom, coming to a venue near you!
