Raised in the Neon-stained desert of Las Vegas, NV., I was given my first guitar at the tender age of 11, and in the years since it proved itself a good distraction from the illuminated weirdness of a town full of drunks and crazies. From songs such as "iMartyr Cinema", You can hear the swagger which can only be learned from nights playing to drunken tourists waiting for you to get the fuck off stage, but playing on as if the song was a cure to a disease you gave up self-diagnosing. There's the swan-song of "Seduction of Purpose", almost as an ambient call-to-arms to a war in your head. The decidedly radio-friendly "Summer Tongue", where the narrative is either taking stabs at co-dependency or to addiction in general. And, "Omega", where the noise-rock mantra of "Fuck Art, Let's Dance", is taken into full-force and the listener can forget about petty poetic statements and dive head first into the rabbit hole of arpeggiation and feedback.
