Millionth Monkey Music is a young non-profit record company, operating out of the downtown core of Hamilton, Ontario. Our goal is to acquire external funding so that we can do all of our recording projects without charging the musicians for our services. We currently charge a booking fee of $200 per session to help cover our overhead costs while we work towards our goal, but we can finish recording 3-4 songs per session. We record live-off-the-floor, and lay down vocals separately, to ensure a high quality of sound in the final product. Mixing and mastering takes several days after each recording session. We also offer promotions, including the shows that we ourselves put on, and shows hosted by our solid network of venues and agents. And we do video production, which will include music videos when we have the capacity. We will be launching an indie distribution label in the future, which will offer duplication, distribution, and merchandising. We are being the change that we want to hear in the world.
