As MissInfo points out (via the Fader), the New York hip hop/R&B station Hot 97 and its DJ Mister Cee are celebrating Black History Month with a mix series titled "Black Fist Friday." Each mix is curated by a different guest DJ, and this morning's came via ?uestlove, who brought an hour of J Dilla productions. Today is the sixth anniversary of his death. The set included classics likes Mos Def and A Tribe Called Quest, and ?uestlove noted that J Dilla was his mentor. (Here's ?uest at Hot 97, in action.)
