First Shows

This past weekend, Parade Rest had our first two shows.
The first on Saturday April 26th, was a benefit show called Sex, Hugs & Rock 'N' Soul at Bar Dakota. We practiced all day before this show, at Tyler's, on the train, in the metro, everywhere. After a few acoustic performances, we got on stage as the first electric act, and brought the energy to the place. We opened with Tyler Song, then played 166, covered Dr. Dre's Forgot About Dre, then played Alcoholic Daddy, and closed with Get Stoned (And Sit Alone). We left out the window and partied at Evan's. The whole thing was filmed by Steve and you can expect video posts within the next couple days. On Sunday, we played in Supernova's battle of the bands, "Band On The Run" at The Pound, to a not-so packed room which contained friends, the supernova people, the bartender, and the other bands playing. We rocked our set and now need YOUUUUU to vote for us to win the wild card vote in the battle so we can play in the city finals.
