Peas And Carrots

So in high school, i met this EXTREMELY awkward dude at a party. It was so weird because i got that feeling when your group of friends get invaded like the japs did china. A couple parties later, pretty much at the same house, we started to bond and pretty much gave him a reason to stay in Edmonton. Fast forwarding to when i impulsed bought a drumset, found out Jason played guitar (and for quite a while if i may add), and started to work at starbucks. SO starbucks came along and for a while it was just a job. A dude by the name of Allan Stenlund applied, of whom i've worked with across 3 jobs in total, eventually got hired. After a couple of weeks, we started to get an idea of starting a band. This sparked the idea of a 3-piece band called "Cardboard Robots". It was an exciting ordeal from which started immediately on song making, but this was short-lived. Allan got extremely busy with his personal life and had plenty of complications to deal with. Moving from house to house and figuring out the GF at the time took up some jam time. Inevitably, Jason and i were stuck waiting in our band room with nothing to do but wait for our third party/second guitarist. With all this free time, Jason and I started to make our own songs without intentions of making anything big out of them. A couple of "free-time" songs later, we realized that all 3 of us weren't committed together as we thought we were. A solid week of nothingness passed only to promote the end of our aspirations. Jason, another friend named TJ, and i then rented "Charlie Bartlett" from blockbuster for a "BNI" (boys night in). I personally still wanted to make music so the notion of starting a band was still fresh in the back of my mind. A scene came across us where a character in the movie expressed humorously the fact that he had brought "peas and carrots" for lunch. At that moment, i turned to Jason, he turned to me, we nodded to each other and assumed that we were both on the same page. Luckily we were. We dug up the songs me made, polished them along with making other songs, and now here we are.
