Biography

Irena Perkovic’s new solo pop project, REENIE, marks a re-genesis as a Canadian artist: it flays open the heart of her songs to expose their core feelings. From high-energy grooves to intimate ballads; from fresh, original tunes to the occasional tasty cover; Reenie serves the soul of every song. An immersion in blues, as well as an upbringing in Toronto’s rock scene, and the music and culture of her birthplace, the former Yugoslavia, created a bi-cultural artist.
