Riot In The Dark are a Canadian rock group out of the northern town of Beauval, Saskatchewan. Formed in 2006, the band describes its sound as "blending the sounds of alternative and post-hardcore music". Riot In The Dark demonstrates a boundless potential, and the passion to create music that leaves an lasting impression.
With the release of benefit CD 'Rock 4 Life', and the song 'Growing Shadows' being included,
Riot In The Dark plan to tour in support of the release. Both as a chance to support the cause, as well as a chance to push Riot In Dark towards a lager audience.
Riot In The Dark is Dion Gauthier(guitar vocals), Clyde Gauthier(drums), and Chad Burnouf(bass). All three members spent time playing in various other bands before forming, and they quickly began playing live shows and building a fan base. The single "Neverending" has received airplay on Saskatchewan’s top northern radio station, MBC Network Radio. Touring began in 2007, opening up for bands such as Farewell To Freeway, Blind Witness, and The Fortunate.
The band has layed down the groundwork for a long career ahead. The band is currently working on their debut album, with plans to go nowhere but up.
