Forged in the mountains of the West Kootenays, Roy Has Fire has brought their original alternative rock sound to audiences all the way from Creston to Rosland for the last three years. James, Mateo, Oliver and Derek came together as a band after meetng at a summer music camp and have been performing live ever since.
Each member of RHF brings a unique view and feeling to the band, giving them a well rounded sound. They incorporate a wide variety of genres of music, such as funk, punk, pop, alternative, jazz, blues and rock into a contemporary and fun groove that everyone can enjoy. They are inspired by a wide range of influences, such as classics like the Beatles, Nirvana, Jimmie Hendrix, and Pink Floyd all the way through to artists like Muse, The Black Keys, The White Stripes, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, as well as newer bands such as Foster the People, MGMT and Modest Mouse.
