Rufkut was started late december 2007, in Plymouth Wisconsin under the name Romance Is Dead. Under this name we played a few shows before our old drummer quit, thinking our music was getting out of his genre range. After a couple of slump drummers we finally landed the singers' cousin to be our drummer.
Since then, we have recorded twice, with our debut scheduled to come out early 2009. We also have played some shows around Milwaukee, including a gig at The Rave opening for Escape The Fate, Chiodos, Silverstein, and A Skylight Drive.
With influences ranging from early Green Day, to tinges of bands like Cradle of Filth, we are a band that should appeal to a wide variety of people and be able to leave our mark on the music scene!
