Sandy promoted his first concert while in high school in 1992 under the name Supernova. After earning his BA and MBA, he continued to grow the business into what it is today. Supernova Concerts produces 300 North American concerts each year and is focused on giving indie talent a chance to play live for free. A second arm of the company, Supernova Interactive has recently launched its new social networking site that allows music lovers to bring the concert experience online. Other recent successes include launching an artist management company and a merchandising ompany. Sandy was also involved in co-founding 120 Church Street and Club Rockit/Speakeasy; a three storey restaurant and live events venue in downtown Toronto, Canada, and Machinehead Studio; a professional recording studio in Toronto, Canada. Outside of the music industry, Sandy acted as a strategic onsultant to the Canadian Booksellers Association in building their online presence and database.
