Biography

Music and performing have always been a huge part of our lives! A few years ago, we decided to try our hand at making music something more than just a hobby to us. We have both been playing musical instruments for over 14 years and are still trying to learn even more. Through dance and piano, we performed in yearly recitals and at competitions. Things took off when we tried out songwriting and they turned out OK! Then we started uploading videos onto YouTube in late 2008 and now we have over 900,000 video hits and 1,650 subscribers (if you're not already subscribed, go do it now!!!). MySpace soon followed and we currently have our one and only professionally recorded song called "My Turn to Leave" posted on there for your listening pleasure! We entered this song into the Lilith Fair Local Talent Search 2010 but unfortunately we didn't make it. On a higher note, the same song got us to the #14 position in the Shout It Out with Hanson contest for Vancouver :) Now you may be thinking who in the world are these people? Well believe it or not you may have seen us on CMT Canada's Ultimate Fan Access: Taylor Swift. Through the televised program and articles in the local newspapers, we got Daisy Rock Guitars to notice us. Since then, we have been official Daisy Rock Artists, and yes, we loved to play their guitars even before we got this deal! We've been playing a lot more shows this summer (2011), and we're really starting to get into our groove :) We performed at the Golden Spike Days Festival for the first time, as well as the Crossroads Hospice Showcase at Music in the Park. We also recently performed at PechaKucha Night at the Evergreen Cultural Centre, the Village Vibe Series in PoCo, New Port Village Summer Fest, the Lunchtime Concert Series in Maple Ridge, the Spirit Square Farmers Market, and are part of Brentwood Town Centre's Sizzling Sounds of Summer this year. In the past, we have performed at some local open mics (Joe's Atlantic Grill, Gallagher's), the Winter Artisan's Fair, the SFU President's Seasonal Reception 2009, Voices 2010 at Gleneagle (Talon Pride 4ever!) and a Music for Malaria benefit concert. Always be on the lookout for performance dates, because we're always looking to book more gigs! The best way to support us is to head on over to YouTube to view our covers and originals and to SUBSCRIBE! Thanks for the support!
