Chase the checkered flag all the way to the studio!
What could be more fun than a Battle of the Bands® on a raceway? Nothing – that’s why we’ve persuaded the folks over at Grand Prix Kartways to let us take over their venue for 4 days this summer!
Indie music will rule the race course as bands from all across the GTA will compete in 1of 3 Battle of the Bands® qualifying shows scheduled in July and August. The last checkered flag officially waves on Saturday September 27, 2008 when all bands that have advanced from qualifiers go head to head in the Finals and a winner is announced.
Fans that purchase advance tickets to any of the shows get a free membership with their tickets. This membership waives the additional $10 fee charged to race at GPK. You get a hard plastic encoded membership card for quicker registration and your own personal balaclava (the knit cap worn underneath helmets) to wear under the helmets GPK provides. The balaclava is yours to keep and bring back with each visit.
