Take your live show on the road. Feel the freedom of the open highway and experience life as a touring band. Supernova is sending the Grand Prize winner of Band on the Run 2008 on a mini tour across Canada. Here’s how to battle your way to the Grand Prize.



Beginning in January 2008, qualifying shows will take place across Canada. From each show, one (1) winner and one (1) Wildcard winner will advance to the City Finals round, taking place in June 2008. Prize winners will be announced at the show and on Supernova.com one day after the show date.

Any band, unless they placed first, will be entered into a Wildcard vote on Supernova.com to advance to the City Finals round*. The voting poll will open one (1) day after the show (date TBA) and will remain open for one (1) week. Only one (1) vote can be cast per person.

Bands need only win one qualifying show in order to advance to the City Finals.

One (1) winner from each City Final show will be entered into the National Online Vote to battle against each other. The winning band, as chosen by the fans, will win the Grand Prize – a mini Canadian tour and a merchandise package from Third Estate.

January 2008 – May 2008 Qualifying Round
May 2008 – June 2008 City Finals Round
July 1, 2008 – National Online Vote
July 15, 2008 – National Online Vote ends
July 18, 2008 - Grand Prize winner is announced
