HOW IT WORKED

To ramp up for the release of School of Rock, Paramount Pictures and Supernova teamed up to promote the film across the country!

The campaign featured 4 Battle of the Bands® in total, hitting Toronto and Vancouver on September 26, 2003, and Calgary and Edmonton on September 27, 2003, pulling in an average of 500 people per show!

Ballot voting was utilized to determine 2 winning bands from each of the 4 shows!

14 bands – 765+ attendance
Vancouver: September 26, 2003 – Croatian Culture Centre
9 bands – 386+ attendance
Calgary: September 27, 2003 – The Gate
10 bands – 411+ attendance
Edmonton: September 27, 2003 – Sidetrack Café
10 bands – 510+ attendance
