THE SOUND SYSTEM

Self proclaimed super group THE SOUND SYSTEM traces its roots to the North West corner of the Americas. The group makes magic in a burnt out chicken shack on their sprawling estate, sitting high atop the hills of Grand Chester Meadows, in a place the locals call Aldergroove California. Deep in the heart of a lonely city, they hone what they say is their Puget Sound. Tearing a path across the Great Plains, the System is on a true godly quest to be so much more than traveling tunes smiths wreaking havoc among the masses. Singer and lyricist Jeoff Feldman wields his words in and out of the sultry sounds of amplified funk fusion, southern rock, punk and the tones and beats of the Ithaca Tribes People. Guitarist and music maker James McWilliams gives amazing colour and texture to a rhythm section that can only be described as epic. Bassist Alan Clarkin along with drummer Dave Ramsay give harmonies and tribal stomps a new meaning. Music is felt rather than heard. Sound System never fails to move the masses, choosing to run into the night with an angel known only as Ruben Cincaid. With a cult like fever, live shows become a frenzied love storm, often ending up with a higher local birth rate. The Sound Systems fans also known as the FLOWER PEOPLE arrive in festival numbers to every show. With numbers ever increasing, more and more "PEOPLE" proudly support the cause and regularly participate in something called SMOKE-INS. The FLOWER PEOPLE use a plant like substance called SWEET LEAF to enrich and enhance the cosmic adventures of a SOUND SYSTEM show. Taking more than 30 odd years to write and record their debut album, the band still manages to criss cross over mountainous terrain. In search of mind expanding riffs and rhythms, the System whips the FLOWER PEOPLE into a heightened state of euphoria unrivalled anywhere -- here, now, or in the New Millennium.
