Mississauga/Toronto's Panzerfaust perform what can best be described as 'Militarized Pagan Black Metal' in vein of the second wave of Black Metal (Mayhem, Darkthrone, Emperor, Immortal) while taking attributes from bands of the post-Norwegian Black Metal scene (Dark Funeral, Marduk, Nargaroth)
This chaotic combination externalizes itself into a putrid spiral of extreme black metal, while keeping elements of atmosphere and ambience. Aiming to hypnotize the listeners with anti-christian, misanthropic black metal while playing in the essence of Pagan mythological topics.
Panzerfaust emerged from the icey grounds in early 2006, when three friends, all who had previous band experience came together, to form this Black Metal project. Without wasting any time, Panzerfaust started working on their material, starting with (As Winter Draws To The Battlefields). it took about half a year to finish writing the material for what is now known as the album, (The Winds Will Lead Us...) The band figured this would be an appropriate title to mark their album with, in the hopes, and visions, of the road ahead of them. Goliath (Thomas Remigio) has steped in as the new vocalist of Panzerfaust. In September of 2006, just in time to finish the tracks on the debut album. Currently Panzerfaust is now lead by a strong force of four men, Goliath (Thomas Remigio), on vocals, Kaizer (Brock Van Dyk), on guitar, Orcus (Wojtek Sokolowski), on bass, and last but definately not least Brad May, on drums. Currently Panzerfaust is signed to Northern Storm Records, And is working on a new album, which should be done in the summer of 2007.
'The Winds Will Lead Us...' an extreme dawning of somber harmonies yet to come. In a self-reflecting archaic disposition of ancient warfare, dark and cold landscapes, the hate and desecration of Christianity, and what the world holds in the future.
