The Sound Approach

The Sound Approach is based 60 km south of Montreal, in the bustling metropolis known as Lacolle (population approx. 3,000). We’ve been making music since about 2006, when we were all still in high school. After a few line-up changes over the years (namely on bass), we finally have a solid core of dedicated, talented and chill individuals. Since the most recent change at the end of summer '10, we’ve been busy with frequent shows in and around MTL (and occasionally beyond), and going in-studio to record our current 5-song demo. “Never See Nineteen” is a song that took a long time to write, and it is dedicated to Anastasia DeSousa, the victim of the Dawson shooting of '06. Within three weeks of us posting it online, it had airplay on AmazingRadio (UK) and over 1,500 views on YouTube. MUSICAL STYLE: Our music is a blend of anthem rock, pop rock, indie rock, and alternative rock. LIVE EXPERIENCE: Shows: Venues, fairs, festivals, fundraisers, contests, battle-of-the-bands... Venues: Club Soda, Live Lounge (Ottawa), Le National, Sala Rossa, Underworld (MTL), bars, schools, halls... Pat played the Warped Tour in 2008 with his former band; Phil has played before King Mswati III of Swaziland (long story), etc. Last summer TSA played Brome Fair, Bedford Fair, Ormstown Fair and the Montgolfieres festival in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
