This Rigid Empire

This Rigid Empire is an edgy punk trio from the town of Orillia in Ontario. Originally formed in 2005 under the name "Hippypunks", This Rigid Empire has undergone many member changes and of course an epic name change. The TRE you know today was established in 2006. Ben Taylor leads the vocals of the trio and shreds on the guitar. Patrick Attenborough is the second vocallist and rocks out on the bass.

This Rigid Empire has worked hard over 2006-2007 to build an awesome set list and started playing shows in January 2008. Now TRE would like to play as many shows as possible. The band is always writing new material and learning new songs. So far TRE has shared the stage with One Time Ticket, Ages Of Man, Us, Battle Creek, Killing For Friday, A Moment Too Late, Signal To Sound, Coming In Static, AssembleMe, Grant Them Rest, Prophecy Of Plagues, Reign, The Fitzpatrick Incident, The Vera Lynn Tragedy, The Mylings, Treestar, And The Hero Dies, The Box-Social Madness and have played in venues legends have played in like The Foundation Nightclub in Barrie, Ont. Each of the guys has been playing their instruments for different amounts of time but all share one passion, creating music. Each member of the band puts an equal effort into each song they produce. Most of their songs have gone through a slow writing process but have quickly evolved into what they are today. This Rigid Empire is every day expanding their music.
